Q: Take us back to what your life was like before joining the TBBC Program?
A: Before starting at TBBC I would only go to Planet Fitness when I felt like it, which after a long day of work was not often and was very inconsistent in my fitness and eating habits. Working out was boring.
Q: Why did you end up deciding to join the TBBC program?
A: I decided to join TBBC because it came at a high recommendation from a friend and my father had tried it and after his first class he came home and told me I needed to come here and I would love it.
Q: What was your first impression from the TBBC program?
A: My first impression is that everyone at TBBC is very friendly. Right away I got a big community vibe from TBBC, everyone wants to help everyone and push everyone to be their best.
Q: What aspects/tools of TBBC have benefited you the most?
A: The community aspect of TBBC has benefited me the most. I look forward to coming to my workouts and seeing familiar faces and making friends with new people.
Q: How is the TBBC program different from other programs you have tried before? What makes TBBC different or unique?
A: TBBC is very different from programs I have tried in the past. Very different from Planet Fitness where I didn’t feel any kind of motivation to go. And very different from Crossfit. In college I went to Crossfit and my first class there the coach, who knew I had never done Olympic weight lifting before, threw weight on a bar and asked me to do a motion I had never done before, which could have resulted in injury. At TBBC every motion is broken down every time you do it, whether you have done the motion a million times before, and the coaches are always watching and making sure you’re doing it correctly to avoid injury and get the most out of the motion.
Q: Walk us through your journey. What results and benefits have you experienced in the TBBC Program?
A: My journey with TBBC has been great. I started off at TBBC weighing 175 lbs, I noticed changes in my body in the first year. Not necessarily numbers on the scale going down but my clothes fit better, I noticed more muscle in my arms and legs. This past summer I was at 180lbs and just recently, after focusing more specifically on fat loss in addition to building muscle I have dropped to 163lbs. I have also noticed a big improvement in my horseback riding – where I used to need a break after 15 minutes of riding now I can go a full 45 minutes without needing a break.
Q: What would you say to anyone looking at the TBBC program
A: To anyone looking at the TBBC program I would say to certainly give it a shot. The group workouts and friendly atmosphere are a huge motivation to get to workouts and the coaches are friendly and really know their stuff.
