So as you probably know, I’m a self-development jumkie.
I was recently listening to a podcast interview with leadership legend John Maxwell.
John has a new book out (I think it’s like his 800th) about intentional living.
He talks about 3 types of people. As I describe the 3 types, think about what type you are and perhaps which one you want to be (hint – You want to be the 3rdJ).
Someday person – This person has good intentions. One day they want to make a positive difference with people. Just not now. It’s not the right time.
Today person – This person also has good intentions and realizes that success rewards action. They have a greater level of fulfillment than Mr. Someday.
Everyday person – Mr. Everyday has reached the highest level of fulfillment and impact. They realize that there is never a perfect time to take action but every day they decide that they are going to make a positive difference with someone.
I was recently meeting with a prospective member who has some challenges facing her. Like many of us, she wasn’t born with the proverbial “silver spoon” in her mouth. I explained to her that she has two choices. She could let her past circumstances get the best of her. Or she could decide to be a “today person” and ultimately an “everyday person” that takes positive action each day leading her closer to her goal. Props to her for taking the first step which is often the hardest.
Make it a great day!

P.S. Hit reply and let me know which of the 3 you are.
