From July 27th – August 12th, top athletes from around the world will compete in the 2012 Summer Olympics; taking place in London.
One of the athletes to watch for is Oscar Pistorius. While all the athletes are impressive, he is more so than most because he’s the first amputee runner to compete in the Olympics. Oscar will be running in the 400 – meters for South Africa.
1st TBBC Olympics
Inspired by some amazing athletes (some of whom we will feature in the coming weeks), TBBC has 2 amazing opportunities to inspire and contribute something to the world.
Opportunity 1: TBBC 21 Day Challenge
We realize that August can be difficult time for fitness as we are being pulled by other summer activities. This challenge is designed to inspire and to create an incentive for you to stay on track for the last part of summer. All you have to do is sign up for the challenge and attend Boot Camp on 21 different days throughout the month. This should be very doable for those that are up to the challenge.
Your investment to participate in the 21 Day Challenge is only $5. If you complete the challenge, you will receive a custom fitted TBBC T-shirt ($20 value). Whether you complete the challenge or not, your $5 registration will be donated to a charity representing a great cause. We hope you agree that you have nothing to lose and much to contribute just by participating in the 21 Day Challenge.
Opportunity#2: TBBC Games
This exciting event will be taking place at the 2nd Annual TBBC Picnic on August 12th at Wantagh Park. TBBC games will be a fitness test to determine who is “TBBC’s Toughest Athlete.” Strength exercises will be blended with cardio exercises (just like Boot Camp) to determine the winners. Registration for “TBBC Games” is only $5. The winner will be able to choose the charity that TBBC donates all the registration money to in addition to being crowned “TBBC’s Toughest Athlete.” Trainers are welcome to donate and compete in this awesome event. However, the winner of the contest must be a TBBC client.
*Registration for “TBBC Olympics” is $5 for one event or $8 for both. Additional donations will also be accepted and appreciated. Register right now online. You can also register at the front desk with either Melissa or Kathy.
