This past week I visited Chicago for the first time. What a beautiful city! I definitely want to go back.
The reason I was in Chicago was because I was meeting with my business mastermind group. Hey what kind of coach would I be if I didn’t have my own coach?
It was a great time of connecting, learning, and growing.
One of the awesome parts of Chicago is the food.
Unfortunately, I went off track with more than just one meal.
The following foods are ones that were not avoided:
- Ice cream
- Pizza
- Lasagna
- Wine
- Beer
- And more
Wow. Talk about going off the rails. In hindsight I should’ve made a better plan and included some accountability.
While I had a great time, I didn’t feel great after indulging so much.
I’ve worked with a lot of clients over the years who seem to be doing great and then get off track (like I did).
Unfortunately, some of them make the mistake of thinking all is lost. They keep eating ineffectively and some even stop working out.
We do our best to help them get back on track but my goal is to help you prevent making the same mistake.
You see if you’ve gotten off track, it just means you’re human. It obviously doesn’t help to stop working out. 1 or 2 sessions per week will go a long way as compared to nothing.
I get the discouragement that comes with getting off track. Just know that what really matters is what you do most of the time for the long haul.
For myself, I’ve already gotten 2 workouts since being back and I’m feeling better already.
Let’s finish the summer strong!
