I just finished an awesome workout with TBBC super trainer Billy Riccio. We did kettlebell swings, clean and presses, snatches, goblet squats, training ropes, and jump rope. I’ll probably also do a dedicated core session tonight.
If you know me for any significant amount of time, you know I’m huge on journaling and one of my favorite quotes is, “What gets written gets done.”
While it’s important to have goals and better ourselves, we should never forget to be thankful for what we already have. There is a book I saw on a client’s bookshelf called How to Want What you Have. I haven’t read it but I though the title was brilliant and I still remember it (10 years later). I also like to jot down my “a-ha” moments which is basically what I learned.
Here are some things I’m thankful for…
- A healthy body
- AWESOME clients who motivate and inspire me
- A supportive wife who helps me cook healthy food (and even helps me pack it sometimes)
- This blog which helps me reach more people
- Awesome training partners to help push me
Here is my “a-ha” moment. I need to work on my meal timing a bit more. For example if I eat 3 hours before a workout, I may not be eating for 5 hours which may be too long.
I hope you enjoyed my re-cap of week 1. I may go for a quick tan. Don’t judge. I only have 5 more weeks until my after pic.:0

P.S. We will be shooting and posting a video featuring Billy R. on how to progress with your fitness even if you have to travel. Should be great!
